Preschool Enrollment Schedule

Green Earth offers families these options for Preschool:

Two day schedule:       Monday and Tuesday.
Three day schedule:     Wednesday through Friday.
Five day schedule:       Monday through Friday.

Our Inspiration:

Green Earth Preschool draws from the strengths of our most treasured approaches to early childhood education from previous centuries, such as Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia. Green Earth is unique in that it is breaks from these predecessors to provide a more evolved, progressive, and relevant curriculum to the contemporary times we all live in. The program is not held to the confines of one single philosophy, but works out of the knowledge that our culture and children are ever changing and benefit most from an education and environment that strives to meet these changing needs. Green Earth's model of intuitive education provides for what each individual child or group of children needs. Miss Renee felt so inspired by Pete Seeger's influence on a generation of children with his folk music and concern for the environment, that she decided to pursue her dream of creating an education program that encompassed all the things she loved about teaching young children and her passion for creating opportunities for connecting the local community and providing sustainable education.

Inquiring / Applying / Waiting List

We feel honored and proud that Green Earth has grown to become a preferred Minneapolis preschool program in the Twin Cities. To apply, first schedule a tour with us.  After we meet, if we all agree that Green Earth is the right fit for your family, we will send application materials via email. Families can mail or drop off these forms wtih a $200 deposit. We enjoy meeting new families, providing tours, and we do maintain a waiting list when we cannot accommodate all families interested to enroll.

Our Parent Community

At Green Earth Preschool your children are making friends and having fun learning and we believe parents can, too. Just as we enjoy meeting new families, our parent community is equally welcoming and friendly.  Quite often the parents and grandparents of children enrolled in our Preschool program grow close, trusting, and lasting family friendships with one another. To help foster this community among Preschool parents, Green Earth hosts parent education and art classes where parents gather, socialize, and learn to make handmade crafts to bring home to their children. We team up with Blue Tree Music Education to hold babysitting/date nights so parents can spend time alone together. We feature our talented pool of parents in Parent Spotlight emails and encourage a community of sharing business cards, brochures, and performance show flyers. Additionally, Green Earth keeps the parent community informed of child-friendly weekend events as well as helping with the exhausting search for future elementary schools by providing alumni information and meeting with parents about school choices. Our enrollment comes from a majority of Minneapolis families but we also have commuters from Saint Paul and beyond.
